On the day before ANZAC Day 2018, The Sir John Monash Centre was officially opened. The purpose-built interpretive and educational centre commemorates Australian servicemen and women who served on the Western Front during the First World War.

The Sir John Monash Centre – Large Technology Objects Interactive is presented across a pair of large interactive touch screens that allow visitors to investigate the technical detail of some of the machinery of war – The Mark V Tank, The Sopwith Camel, The 9.2 Inch Howitzer, the 18 Pounder Cannon, The Vickers Machine Gun and The Lewis Gun.
